SELLING YOUR HOUSE ........
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
A Seller recently wrote about listing their home at a reduced commission. The Seller went with a discount broker expecting to save money. What they received was a real estate agent who just entered the information into the Multiple Listing Service, used poor photos of their home in very few print ads and NO Internet ads, had no open houses, gave no feedback from showings, and offered no personal service. Instead of saving money the seller made half a dozen EXTRA mortgage payments throughout the ordeal. With this in mind, the Seller hired a serious, professional agent that provided all the services it took to successfully market their home. In doing so, their home was SOLD in no time at all! So this seller is issuing the warning:
"Seller Beware: more often than not "discount broker" means "discount service".
Think about it - do you really want to hire an out-of-county Internet Realtor or discount broker? Aside from your life, your home is likely your biggest asset - would you bring a family member to a Discount Doctor? Real Estate should be the smartest investment you make, try to keep it that way. You know the adage "you get what you pay for", why go with less when you can hire the best!
